In the sections Phonetic Practice, Sentence Translation, Business and Personal Telephones, Memos, Schedules, and Anniversary Dates, words entered in capitals are recognized by the speech synthesizer as abbreviations and are therefore pronounced letter-by-letter.

The dictionary can be connected to the Internet by the built-in fax-modem, which is used for sending and receiving e-mail messages via the Internet, as well as for sending faxes. The dictionary is equipped with a programmed fax-modem that transmits electronic mail at a speed of 14400-bit/sec; faxes at 9600 bit/sec.

As a rule, sites and pages in the Internet are flooded with a huge amount of graphic information. The dictionary can only send and receive electronic mail. But we intend to produce models with full access to the Internet.
